Over eight months after thousands of right-wing rioters stormed the seats of government in Brazil’s capital, the supreme court (STF) held its first trial sessions on 13-14 September to sentence the participants indicted for their actions on 8 January. Three rioters were convicted for serious crimes such as staging a coup d’état.
