ARGENTINA: Opposition JxC picks up steam

After a slow start to the electoral cycle, the right-of-centre Juntos por el Cambio (JxC) opposition coalition is starting to make an impression. The JxC is having some provincial-level electoral success against long-serving Peronist governors, which looks to have provided a boost in the national polls, underpinning its bid for the presidency. It also helps that the far-right anti-establishment outsider, Javier Milei, has fallen back in the polls amid a scandal to the benefit of the JxC.
