COLOMBIA: Attacks may lead to renewed spraying

President Alvaro Uribe has been using his government's rapid progress in manual eradication of coca plantations as an argument to help persuade the US Congress to continue funding Plan Colombia. However, his own office has issued a warning that the controversial spraying with glyphosate could resume, should casualties from the manual eradication effort go on rising.
