SECURITY: Morales hails further coca progress

For a second year running, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Unodc) has reported a decline in coca cultivation in Bolivia. This is a boost for the government led by President Evo Morales, who is on a permanent quest to shore up support for his ‘Coca sí, Cocaína no’, drugs policy, which distinguishes between the raw coca leaf (an important symbol of Bolivian indigenous culture) and cocaine, the illegal narcotic.
