BRAZIL: All and sundry in the eye of the CPI

Last year’s ministerial corruption scandals are starting to look like small change in comparison to the fast emerging details of the case centred around the political links of a disgraced businessman Carlos Augusto Ramos (‘Carlinhos Cachoeira’) and one of Brazil’s biggest construction companies, Delta Construção. The sooner the next parliamentary recess comes the better, as far as the government is concerned.
