CHILE: Gov’t withdraws security reform as new proposal agreed
On 6 October Chile’s Interior Minister Claudio Alvarado stated that the government would not persevere with the security reform presented by President José Antonio Kast in August, after reaching an agreement on an alternative proposal with a cross-party group of senators.
