BOLIVIA: Finance minister seeks to stay on despite impeachment

Bolivia’s economy and finance minister, José Gabriel Espinoza, lost a vote of censure in congress on 18 August. In theory, this means that he should have been dismissed by President Rodrigo Paz within 24 hours. Espinoza has so far remained in his post, however, with the government questioning the constitutionality of the vote.
