BRAZIL | Central bank holds interest rates again. The monetary policy committee (Copom) of Brazil’s central bank (BCB) decided on 28 January to hold the country’s benchmark interest rate (Selic) at 15.0%. This interest rate decision marks the fifth consecutive meeting in which the Selic has been maintained.
