In brief: Guatemala hails rise in tourism
*Guatemala’s national tourism institute (Inguat) has released new figures showing that total visitor numbers for December 2025 reached 370,164, up 16% on November, and 15% on the same month in 2024. This brings the total for the year to 3.36m, up from 3.04m in 2024. The same figures show that most (62%) of tourists came from Central America, followed by North America (26%), Europe (5%), and South America (3%).
