PARAGUAY: Investigation into former president advances
On 5 August Paraguay’s attorney general’s office announced it had requested reports from the secretariat for prevention of money or asset laundering (Seprelad) after opening an investigation into former president Mario Abdo Benítez (2018-2023) for allegedly concealing assets in tax havens.
