PARAGUAY: Oviedo announces 'return to prison' in June

Lino Oviedo, the fugitive cashiered general who has spent five years in exile in Argentina and Brazil, says that he will be returning to Paraguay in the second half of June to turn himself in to the prison where most of a 10-year term is awaiting him - while his lawyers seek to overturn the court-martial verdict that convicted him and to clear him of a number of charges, including that of masterminding the murder of Vice-President Luis Marí­a Argaña in 1999.
