BRAZIL: Annual drop in forest fires boosts green optics
On 16 April MapBiomas, an environmental monitoring platform run by Brazilian NGOs, universities, and private companies, released its forest fire data for the first quarter of this year, which showed 912,876 hectares (ha) affected by fires, down 70% from Q1 2024.
