COLOMBIA: Tourist arrivals smash records in 2024

Amid all the news about Colombia’s worsening fiscal outlook and the endless troubles of President Gustavo Petro’s government, there was one bit of good news recently. The country attracted a record number of tourists in 2024 – 6.67m, though that number includes 1.89m Colombians living abroad. Still, it is an increase of 8.5% from the year before and the third consecutive record, with visits by non-Colombians up 10.5% year-on-year.
