BRAZIL | Hawkish tone on interest rates. The monetary policy committee (Copom) of the central bank (BCB) released its latest meeting minutes on 6 August. The meeting took place on 30-31 July and concluded with Copom’s members unanimously deciding to hold the country’s benchmark interest rate (Selic) at 10.50% for a second consecutive meeting.
