PARAGUAY: Peña hails drug success

Paraguay’s President Santiago Peña heralded his government’s success in cracking down on illegal drug exports during a meeting held in the central bank with the regional representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the Andean and Southern Cone, Candice Welsch, on 16 July. Peña said the “great challenge” his government was now facing was stopping drugs from entering Paraguay for onward transit.
