CHILE: Boric plays key role in peace summit
Chile’s President Gabriel Boric played a prominent role in the global peace summit in Switzerland on 16 June to discuss a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine. Boric was one of just five international leaders to join Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky on the stage at the end of the summit to deliver a closing statement, a boost for his regional leadership credentials, especially given that Argentina’s President Javier Milei, a close Zelensky ally, was present at the summit.
