The nine-member transitional presidential council (TPC) has finalised a political agreement which would provide the framework of a 22-month transitional government in Haiti. This is in line with an 11 March agreement brokered by the Caribbean Community (Caricom) in response to the unprecedented crisis in Haiti, where coordinated gang attacks at the end of February led to a state of emergency and forced the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry [WR-24-10].
