The regional office of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has called on the government led by President Daniel Ortega to report where it is holding Bishop Isidoro Mora. Arrested late last month, Mora is the second bishop to be detained by the Ortega government after Bishop Rolando Álvarez was arrested in August 2022 and sentenced to over 26 years in prison in February 2023, precipitating the rupture of relations with the Vatican [WR-23-11].
