* Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) has released its latest report on remittances, showing that in August, remittances to Mexico totalled US$5.56bn, a yearly increase of 8.6%. In the period from January to August this year, Mexicans living abroad sent US$41.46bn back to Mexico, a 9.3% increase on the same period in 2022. Remittances continue to be on track to surpass the record US$58.49bn received last year.
