MEXICO: López Obrador snubs Biden over Apec summit
Amid growing concern over a surge in migration across the border into the US, Mexico’s President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said on 21 September that he would not attend a summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) group scheduled for 14-17 November in San Francisco, and would instead seek alternative dates for a meeting with US President Joe Biden.
