ARGENTINA | Inflation update. The Argentine government announced on the 15 September that it would reveal weekly inflation figures to keep people reliably informed of any changes. The announcement looks designed to try and convey any slight fall between now and the first round of presidential elections on 22 October in a last-ditch effort to boost the economy minister, Sergio Massa, after the damaging news that inflation in August reached 124.4%.
