In brief: Chile’s monthly trade surplus decreases

* Chile’s central bank (BCCh) has announced that the country registered a trade surplus of US$814m in the month of July, down from a surplus of US$1.57bn in June but up from a surplus of US$72m in July 2022.  Exports in July totalled US$7.39bn, a decrease from US$7.94bn in June and US$8bn in July 2022. Imports in July totalled US$6.58bn, an increase from US$6.37bn in June but a year-on-year drop from US$7.93bn.
