BRAZIL | Mineral exports for the energy transition. At an event in Vitória, the capital of the south-eastern state of Espírito Santo, on 27 July, Brazil’s vice president and minister for industry & commerce, Geraldo Alckmin, spoke of Brazil’s ambition to become a major player in the global green energy transition, seeking to boost exports of lithium and other minerals used in batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) and other renewable energy infrastructure.
