HONDURAS: Key milestones in fight against corruption

The process to elect a new attorney general is underway in Honduras amid concern over the fairness and transparency of the process. There are currently 22 candidates in the running for the roles of attorney general, the head of the public ministry (MP), and deputy attorney general. The selection board must then whittle down the shortlist to five candidates, who will then be presented for a vote by the national legislature before 1 September.
