* Peru’s central bank (BCRP) has announced that the country registered a trade surplus of US$881m in May, down from a surplus of US$1.53bn in April but up from US$551m in May 2022. Exports in May totalled US$5.05bn, down from US$5.38bn in April but up from US$5.02bn in May 2022. Imports totalled US$4.17bn which is an increase from US$3.86bn in April but a drop from US$4.47bn in May 2022. Peru’s annual trade balance stood at a surplus of US$11.6bn in May.
