* Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has released its figures on industrial manufacturing and construction in May 2023, which showed that the industrial manufacturing index was up 1.1% year-on-year, but the construction industry index decreased by 2.9% as compared to May 2022. In monthly terms, both indexes were down, industrial manufacturing by 1.5% and construction by 2.2%. In the first five months of the year, the industrial manufacturing index was up 2.2% whereas the construction index was down by 1.9%, compared to the same period of 2022.
