A WTO statement noted that this is the third dispute brought by Argentina relating to US anti-dumping measures on OCTG, which it claims are inconsistent with the WTO’s anti-dumping agreement and the 1994 general agreement on tariffs and trade. Argentina’s move to formally request dispute consultations means that the parties have 60 days to attempt to resolve the matter without proceeding with litigation. If no resolution is reached within that timeframe, Argentina can request adjudication by a panel.
