* The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has released its latest monthly oil market report, in which Venezuela claimed to have produced 810,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) in April, up from 754,000 bpd in March. OPEC’s own estimate, based on secondary sources, put Venezuela’s oil production lower at 724,000 bpd, although this was still up on OPEC’s estimate of 700,000 bpd for March.
