*Paraguay’s central bank (BCP) has released the latest results of its monthly survey of economic experts. The experts forecast that Paraguay’s GDP would grow by 4.5% in 2023 and 4.0% in 2024. Both forecasts remain the same as those in the previous (February) survey. In terms of inflation, the monthly inflation forecast for March stood at 0.4%, down from 0.5% in the previous survey, and at 0.3% for April, down from 0.5%. The annual inflation forecast was 5%, the same as predicted in February’s survey. Preliminary BCP data shows Paraguay’s GDP grew by just 0.2% in 2022, while annual inflation closed 2022 at 8.1%.
