José Salardi, has announced aims to adjudicate 16 public-private infrastructure projects costing a total of US$3bn in 2023. Salardi said that this year Proinversión will award infrastructure contracts for hospitals in the cities of Chimbote (Ancash region) and Piura (Piura), amounting to US$323m; a wastewater treatment plant in Puerto Maldonado (Madre de Dios) for US$68m; the AWS-3 and 2.3GHz spectrums for internet and 4G mobile internet, for US$268m; an electricity transmission line and substation in Piura region, for US$217m; the Ancón industrial park near Lima, for US$762m; two electricity projects amounting to US$611m each; and the San Juan de Marcona port in Ica region, for US$520m. “2023 will be the year that public-private associations rebound in Peru.
