* Brazil’s state-controlled oil company, Petrobras, has announced that it exceeded its production target for oil and natural gas in 2022. Petrobras’ oil and gas production averaged 2.68m barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), exceeding its target by 3.2%. However, production was lower than the 2.77m boed registered
in 2021. Petrobras highlighted the launch of production on two new platforms – FPSO Guanabara, in the Mero oilfield, and P-71, in the Itapu oilfield. It also noted that over the past year, maximum production capacity was reached at the P-68 platform, in the Berbigão and Sururu oilfields, and the FPSO Carioca platform, in the Sépia oilfield.
