Rodrigo Limp Nascimento, the CEO of Brazil’s state-controlled energy company, Eletrobras, has said that the company could be privatised by June, according to
Reuters. The deadline is mid-August for Eletrobras to carry out a share offering based on its Q1 financial results, but Limp reportedly said that this should be done

could be done by July. Brazil’s financial ombudsman (TCU) approved the first phase of the privatisation
in February and is due to resume discussions today (18 May) on the final phase, including the valuation of Eletrobras shares.
