Both figures represent an improvement on 2020, with poverty having declined by 3.2 percentage points and extreme poverty falling by 2.9 percentage points. The cities with the lowest poverty rates were Medellín (Antioquia department) (27.6%) and Cali (Valle del Cauca) (29.3%), while the poorest cities were Quibdó, (Chocó) (64.8%), and Riohacha, (La Guajira) (56.6%).
