* Argentina’s energy secretariat has released new figures which show that the country’s oil production has now recovered to pre-coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic levels, and even reached its highest point in five years. Oil production in September totalled around 533,000 barrels per day (bpd), up 2.8% on August, and an 11% surge on September 2020 production levels. The energy secretary,
Dario Martínez, said
“We have recovered activity, slowing the decline that we had been suffering for some years and now we are reaching record production levels. Every month production is growing, in both oil and gas”. Total oil production is expected to reach an average 545,000 bpd in October, which would be the highest level since 2014.
