EL SALVADOR: Conflict of interest complaints over awarding of gov’t contract
On 18 August Eduardo Escobar, the executive director of a local civil society group Acción Ciudadana (AC), complained of a conflict of interest in a contract approved by El Salvador’s congress to a company which reportedly provided campaign financing to President Nayib Bukele.
