* Colombia’s export promotion agency, ProColombia, a government body, has announced that the export of construction materials grew by 37.1% in January-April 2021 compared with the same period in 2020, totalling a value of US$155.1m. ProColombia stated that the most in-demand exports were doors, windows, sinks, metal sheets, floor tiles, paving slabs, and plumbing accessories, which were predominantly exported from the departments of Atlántico, Cundinamarca, Antioquia, Caldas, and Valle del Cauca. The largest export markets for these products were the US, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Mexico, and Chile.
