* Mexico’s national statistics institute (Inegi) has released new figures which show that 2.32m international tourists visited Mexico in April 2021, a 199% increase on the same month in 2020 – indicative of the impact of restrictions taken to stop the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
