The departure last month of a new caravan of migrants from Honduras, heading to Guatemala en route to Mexico and the US, highlighted a major priority for the new US administration led by President Joe Biden with regard to Central America. President Biden has pledged a different approach to the hardline anti-immigration policy pursued by his predecessor Donald Trump (2017-2021) [SSR-20-12].
