*Argentina’s national statistics institute (Indec) has reported that construction activity in the country increased by 6.2% in November 2020 compared to the same month in 2019. Alberto Fernández has said that reactivating the construction sector will be key for the country’s economic recovery. The Indec report attributes the positive result to the easing of some of the restrictions imposed by the government since March 2020 to contain the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, which had virtually paralysed the construction sector.
