Despite their best efforts to combat money laundering, the Mexican authorities have failed to effectively reduce the risk factors that enable this illegal practice. This is the conclusion of the second national money laundering risks assessment report (ENR) that the Mexican government led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador submitted to the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on money laundering in September.
