MEXICO | Guerrilla leader found dead. On 21 November the office of Guerrero state's chief public prosecutor announced that the body of Omar Guerrero Solís ('Comandante Ramiro') had been found buried in the backyard of a house in Ajuchitlán del Progreso, close to the boundary with the state of Michoacán. An official spokesman said that he had been killed in a shootout with another 'illegal group' for 'unknown motives', and that the date of his death had not yet been ascertained.
