MEXICO: ‘Chino Antrax’ case worries US law enforcement
José Rodrigo ‘Chino Antrax’ Aréchiga Gamboa was a Mexican drug trafficker who managed to escape house arrest in the US, where he had been convicted, only to be killed days later in Mexico. The case has set off alarm bells over concerns that, despite the strong cooperation between Mexican and US law enforcement to identify, capture, and extradite to the US members of Mexican drug trafficking organisations (DTOs), these may still escape justice.
