Almost a year on from the elections of October 2019, annulled over allegations of electoral fraud, Bolivia may finally get another chance to go to the polls on 6 September. Efforts to arrange this vote have been chaotic in the extreme – it may have taken a global pandemic to derail the process, but political partisanship has played the key role in stopping things from getting back on track.
