MEXICO: More high-level cartel moles are uncovered

More heads have been rolling as a result of Operación Limpieza. Five members of the military, the head of Interpol Mexico, a top AFI official and the former head of the organised crime division at the chief federal prosecutor's office (PGR) have all been arrested on suspicion of collusion with the Beltrán Leyva cartel, as has the acting head of the federal police, though in his case the alleged contact is with the Pacific cartel. Simultaneously, police have dealt significant blows to the Gulf cartel.
