In the shadow of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, another public health threat has been spreading alarm amongst Mexico’s health authorities. Health ministry figures published on 1 May revealed that 163 cases of measles had been confirmed in Mexico this year, nearly equalling its total number of cases over the previous two decades.
