Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández led a ‘march for peace’ on 22 June in Tegucigalpa, organised by the ruling Partido Nacional (PN). It came at the end of a week of violent protests in the capital and beyond, claiming three lives. While Hernández called for peace, however, he deployed the military police (PMOP) to crack down on further protests.
