Mexico: The national hydrocarbons commission (CNH) has released figures which show that, in September, national oil production stood at 1.732m barrels per day (bpd), down 10% on August when it was 1.93m bpd. According to a CNH press release, the fall stems from early maintenance work carried out by the state-owned oil firm Pemex during the first days of September in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap complex in the Bay of Campeche – the country’s most productive oil field - after hurricane 'Harvey' led to a 16% decrease in the oil production.  The CNH press release notes that “this affected notably the national indicator since so far in 2017 more than 4 out of every 10 barrels were produced by Ku-Maloob-Zaap”.
