“So far, so good". That was the answer the BBC's Stephen Sackur got
from President Juan Manuel Santos during his interview for the political show
Hardtalk when he asked if Santos trusted the promises made to him by
Venezuela's Hugo Chávez . And that was not the only honest, and possibly
uncomfortable, answer Santos gave: when asked how he would react if the
Colombian judiciary decided to investigate former President Alvaro Uribe
(2002-2010) for his alleged involvement in the illegal intelligence gathering
scandal known as the 'chuzadas', Santos said “I will not be happy, but I'll
accept it...I have supported each one of the investigations [led by the supreme
