For a second year in a row, Chile’s national exports promotion agency (ProChile) and the general directorate of international economic relations (Direcon), a dependency of the foreign ministry, staged ‘Chile Week’ in the Chinese cities of Guangzhou and Beijing on 29-30 August and 1-2 September. The event was aimed at promoting Chilean products and services, and at attracting investment to the South American country. In the latest sign of strengthening bilateral ties, the event was attended by a delegation of around 80 companies involved in sectors including food & drink, industry, services, and tourism.
