Enatex protest erupts in Bolivia

Development: On 18 May Gary Omonte, the director of the special anti-crime squad (FELCC) in Bolivia’s capital La Paz, reported that 76 people had been arrested after former employees from the state-owned textiles company, Empresa Pública Nacional Estratégica de Textiles (Enatex), tried to occupy its premises as part of protests in response to the government’s decision to close down the company.
